My uncle frank has some illustrations in an online novel/blog about the swine flu in New York.   You can read the whole thing online and it’s still being written.  Go check it out now.  In the Gallery section you will see two sections for Frank Zirbel.  They contain such amazing pieces as:andDigging the art?  Then contact Frank via email and work it out so you can own some of his wonderful art.

skate journal: kick back 50 night at Lville (Sept 1, 2009)

Posted in Skate Journal on September 2nd, 2009 by corpo

Jason and I rolled out to Louisville around 8:30 on a super nice night.  We warmed up in the bowl area for awhile.  Jason killed the front 5-0s.  I bailed front 50s.  I blame it on the ultra sticky copying and the fact that it’s not Rampy.  Nate showed up with his biker buddy Adam after awhile and we got our “street” section on.  I skated the ledge a lot.  Nothing new there.  Got front 50 front shove pretty quick.  Front 5-0.  Crooks.  A bad back 50.  Then started trying kickflip back 50s and got one.  Got another one.  Got into another one.  It just kept going.  I started trying to get shoves out, but never came too close.  All the kick 50s hyped me up though.   Everyone there was skating and having fun too.  It was a good session.  When the lights shut off Jason kept trying front board 270 out and he landed one!  He’s been trying that trick forever.  Hyped for him.
