fabulous flatground facility

Went to the dog park before work on a nice morning. Right as I pulled up so did the van of painters. Doh. I thought I would be bumming them out, but it turns out that one of them (Chris) skates and is friends with LBR and everything. So rad. He took out his downhill board and had me ride it. I fell off because I’m used to pivoting on the tail, but there is no tail. Ha. So I skated, but I was kind of in the back corner trying to stay out of their way. I did not skate well, but not horrible. I got a few of my normal ones. Kickflip, fakie flip, halfcab flip, varial flip, 360 flip with a hand down, fakie bigflip, maybe a b/s flip. I ended with a nollie tre that put a huge smile on my face. Man I love that trick.

skate journal: downtown boulder alley suck (oct 19, 2016 day 293)

perfect 4

back 360 manual

Went downtown in search of a curb on a cold night and ended up in this newly remodeled alley. I thought ollieing the 4 stair would be a good start, but it turns out that I had completely forgotten how to skateboard. Well, mostly my mind was mush from taking care of Jason. I am not complaining about doing it, it’s just a lot to take on. Anyways, I had about 30 minutes before I needed to pick up India. I did some manuals, a frontside whirlybird, some noseslides on the ledge, slow ollie onto the ledge to front 180 off in a line with a halfcab flip. I was skating so terrible. I did get pretty close to a backside whirlybird, but slammed a couple of times and needed to go. I forced myself to get the little 4 stair ollie and I bounced. What a fun alley.
