skate journal: omaha park with dan, joe and matt on a warm evening (july 24, 2017)

After a long hot day at the zoo without eating (no GF DF options) I met Joe, Dan and Eric at the Omaha part on a hot evening. I was late so they were already warmed up. I had originally thought I wouldn’t be able to skate at all, but my foot started feeling better. Unlike the previous day I would struggle with crooks. Lame! Dan had to leave, but not before he did a front 50 to manual to boardslide. So good. Matt and Joe were rifling off their ledge tricks. Both are so good. I took a long time to land anything, but had a brief period of okness. Did a slow halfcab noseslide then a kickflip on the bottom of the qp. Also a switch front noseslide then a switch noseslide shove out. Joe did front 5-0 to front board. Matt lipslid the rail. Joe got a line of front 50 shove the tall ledge then fakie flip the bank. Matt got nollie back heel on the bank. I did a kickflip on it but couldn’t get the noseslide 270 shove. A couple tries were close. What a perfect ledge for it.

We played a game of skate. Joe and matt got me with non-flip tricks. Those lame-ohs. Ha ha. It was fun, but matt did nollie 3 shoves both ways. I tried 360 flips after that and couldn’t quite get them. Matt got a perfect switch tre though! Amazing. Fun session. Those dudes rule.
