skate journal: short research ledge frustration (aug 24, 2017)

Went to the research ledge after running a few errands. It was just getting dark. I did a few little ollies and stuff before doing my new warm up of trying kickflips until I land one. 3rd try, better than normal. I got terrible boardslide, noseslide. I took advantage of the remaining light and did one trick on the street, then ollied up and bailed a ledge trick. I was not feeling the big setup. I did okay with flip tricks though. Especially considering how sore I was. Back 50s though, couldn’t do one to save my life. It made me mad. I got a couple front 50s though. They were more like stalls because I hate skating that ledge uphill, but it was nice to know I was getting up on it. I tried a bunch of switch varial flips going uphill. Some were close. Then I couldn’t land a crook. Seriously. That is my favorite thing about that ledge and I couldn’t do it. I left pretty mad and really not liking the bigger setup.
