I’m writing this way after it happened so bear with me. A crew of us assembled at Valmont area. I was first and started on the bank. Jack and Carleigh were next, Fuzz, Dave, Ed, Damian, Jake followed shortly. We were kind of all over the place initially. It was cool seeing everyone skate it some silly street spot differently. Lines there are fun. It’s impossible to remember what everyone was trying. I saw Fuzz and Dave trying manuals. Carleigh no complying the tall curb. Ed with the curb stalls. I don’t know. After awhile I saw Dave doing a beanplant off the little drop and joined him. Then Jack, Fuzz, Dave and I were trying lines in around there. Ollies up the little gap unless you were Jack and then it was heelflips and bigspins trying to end in wallride. I had a fun line of ollie the little gap, bean plant the drop then varial flip to fakie on the bank (although I think I bailed out in the run out). After awhile everyone skated the bank. Jack had a gnarly frontside wallride and a crazy front nose jib (stubborns/null alert). Carleigh with the boardslide down, then adding a kickflip then adding a no comply before it too. Putting the ‘gnar’ in Gnarly Carleigh. Jake got 360 flip to fakie. Dave went over to the manual pads. Ed tail bock and steezy slides. Damian kickflip to fakie. Fuzz did a crazy powerslide to kickflip (stubborns alert). My knee had started hurting in a weird way. It sucked. I kept skating though. Well, I attempted to. I couldn’t get 360 flips to fakie, fakie 360 flips, fakie flip or varial flip. Luckily I was 2-2 on halfcab flips. Rad crew. I had to leave first to go see Bob Dylan.
