skate journal: dog park after work rob, dan, matt (july 12, 2019)

Right after work on a warm Friday afternoon I went to the dog park to Meet Rob and maybe Matt. Matt would show a little later. Dan too. Rob and I were in the warm up process when Dan showed up and quickly started shredding. He is one of our faves. Kind of early on I got a line of manual the smallest box, ollie the kinked rail, wallie the barrier. Felt cool even though it was done badly. Rob was killing manuals, nose manuals, nose manual 180, nollie lips, back 50s, front 50s, etc, etc. I was pretty hit or miss. I came close to a front 5-0 180 on the little part of the black box, but couldn’t lock into 5-0 again. Got a line that took awhile of noseslide to fakie the tall part of the box, halfcab flip (which took way too many tries), wallie the barrier, bailed a treflip. Dan got the marathon line and about 5 other tricks across the hard top of the box. Matt showed up and quickly did a bunch of ledge tricks like nothing. The first front noseblunt was unreal. I tried some kick back 50s, halfcab crooks, gotta get those. All in all kind of another disappointed showing from me. Rob got close to front nosegrinds, that would have been sick. He grinds the whole thing. I was too scared to commit to one. Love me the dog park.
