Playing Jack’s overbearing Skate Dad

Posted in Colorado area skate photos, Colorado Skateboarding News, Me Me Me, null skateboards on November 2nd, 2011 by corpo

Jack and I had this idea a couple years ago, but haven’t been able to make it work until now. We had fun. Well, at least I did jocking out and yelling that my kid was the best 16 year old skater in Colorado. The worst part is there were parents in attendance that think this behavior is acceptable. Check out lot’s of photos on Carleigh’s blog here.

Dean got lot’s of good photos here and here too.

Here’s a couple “Skate Dad” phone clips from the a flyout session.

Such a fun day even if I couldn’t skate at all and mostly had to just sit down. I guess the limp added to the Skate Dad character anyways. Check even more photos here on Jack’s blog.

Nullozine print coming and Crisis art show/ Anniversary party

Posted in Colorado area skate photos, Colorado Skateboarding News, null skateboards, Random skate news, Trick Factory on September 29th, 2011 by corpo

Issue One of Nullozine print is done! While the name is similar to this blog (without the jr though) it isn’t the same thing. It’s a Colorado skate zine. Issue One is heavy on the Null tip, but we hope to expand outside of our circle in future issues. Super hyped for this! Dean is largely responsible for it happening and I am super grateful to him and the others that helped with this. They are now printed and we will have them at the Crisis art show this Saturday!

Congratulations to Fuzz and all the hard work he’s put in the last year with Crisis. Happy one year anniversary and thanks for all the support! The party will be a blast. The art show will feature art from lots of friends and family. And when I say family I don’t just mean Trick Factory or Null dudes (which is totally awesome family!), but I also mean my family, as in Liz and Ollie. Yes, they will have art there too. See you at Crisis Saturday night!

So hyped on this. Bernie edited it and did a bang up job. We had a blast.

skate journal: watching ollie skate (Aug 28, 2011)

Posted in null skateboards on August 29th, 2011 by corpo

After a crazy Friday/Saturday of camping/partying for Zach’s bachelor party I attempted to skate a little with Ollie. I was as hungover as they come and my knee hurt like crazy. After doing some business at 303 we rolled to a park we have never been to before (first one in this montage (skip the helmet kid to Jimmy)). The park was crowded with kids doing everything but skateboarding. Ugh. I mostly just cruised around and did a few grinds and front rocks. Nothing special. Ollie ripped it though. He did rock fakie, back rock and front rock on the narrow sections of the qp. He also put his board up on one of the benches and did 180s off it. One of the back 180s was super good. His ender was the carve the qp up onto the ledge then back 180 off. So sick. He’s super into skating right now and even asked me to clean out the garage so Rampy could be skated. Awesome.

Go to this tomorrow!

In A Jar

Posted in null skateboards on February 1st, 2011 by corpo

Sometimes I still get the same stoke I had when I first started Null and I would see someone I didn’t know skating a Null board. I know Adam, but wasn’t expecting this sequence when I browsed Pat’s site to see his latest photos. So stoked.

I redid the Null board wall a couple weeks ago

I had some time on a Saturday morning recently and had been waiting for the Dinoseries to show up before changing the board wall.  Step one, taking down the old one.The pile of old boards that weren’t on the wall. Some other old ones and the ones that were taken down.Rough draft of the new wall.  Gotta keep the original deck on the far left.Mandatory music for hanging up the next set of boards..HYPED HYPED HYPED!!!  From the left, In A Jar, Start Choppin, The Lung.  I cannot describe how stoked I am on these and it’s so fun writing these song names down on invoice slips. The completed project.
