After avoiding sunlight all day because of the stye in my eye I went to Southern Hills when the clouds set in.\u00a0 I was armed with 3 pairs of shoes since I hated the 440s so much.\u00a0 I started with them, but didn’t last long.\u00a0 Then I tried some old PJs.\u00a0 Nope, finally some old 212s which I stuck with.\u00a0 Jake showed and we played a game of SKATE.\u00a0 It was a long one.\u00a0 And of course the sun came out, but we were able to mostly hide from it. I took a while\u00a0to adjust to the 212s.\u00a0 I got a few tricks I liked, heelflip, first try f\/s halfcab\u00a0heel, a couple treflips\u00a0that had heel drag ( I was happy to land them but they didn’t count for offense).\u00a0 Jake would end up winning with fakie 3 shove.\u00a0 He had gotten me with frontside flip, switch front shove, and a couple more.\u00a0 Then we skated for a bit.\u00a0 I did nothing good.\u00a0 Everything was a total struggle.\u00a0 Jake left.\u00a0 I tried to skate more.\u00a0 Did a line of noseslide to fakie, halfcab\u00a0flip, crooks.\u00a0 But couldn’t even fathom front 50 on a bench or ollie up the 2 stair.\u00a0 Ugh. I left pretty darn bummed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
