{"id":13012,"date":"2021-01-01T19:07:37","date_gmt":"2021-01-02T02:07:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nullozinejr.com\/zine\/?p=13012"},"modified":"2021-01-01T19:07:37","modified_gmt":"2021-01-02T02:07:37","slug":"skate-journal-fun-at-frederick-in-the-icy-snowy-cold-dec-30-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nullozinejr.com\/zine\/2021\/01\/01\/skate-journal-fun-at-frederick-in-the-icy-snowy-cold-dec-30-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"skate journal: fun at frederick in the icy snowy cold (dec 30, 2020)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AXrQO06prY4?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On a cold night I drove out and met Dave at Frederick.\u00a0 The park had more snow and ice than we had thought.\u00a0 The manny pads weren&#8217;t an option.\u00a0 The bump to ledge\/hump and curb areas were about it.\u00a0 And the two weird benches by the dumb sculpture.\u00a0 We basically had the park to ourselves except when shoveler Patrick showed up for awhile.\u00a0 We skated the hump and curb area the most.\u00a0 We skated for over a couple hours so it&#8217;s hard to remember all that went down.\u00a0 Warming up wasn&#8217;t as bad as you would think.\u00a0 Dave did a lot of curb stalls\/transfers\/grinds.\u00a0 All of which were made harder by limited run up.\u00a0 Front hurricane, boardslides, noseslides, nose stall reverts and the amazing back axle to rock to revert transfer.\u00a0 Wow.\u00a0 He also had some incredible lines that had switch shoves on the hump to quick wallrides.\u00a0 I mostly posed flip tricks and got used to my new trucks.\u00a0 Yes, new trucks again.\u00a0 This time Indy Mids.\u00a0 Had to try them, they felt great before the bushings totally froze up.\u00a0 I had a line of caveman grind then b\/s flip the hip.\u00a0 I couldn&#8217;t get a regular kickflip over the hip.\u00a0 I posed hardflips for awhile on the little bank and got kind of close.
