{"id":13330,"date":"2021-06-15T15:37:22","date_gmt":"2021-06-15T21:37:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nullozinejr.com\/zine\/?p=13330"},"modified":"2021-06-15T15:37:22","modified_gmt":"2021-06-15T21:37:22","slug":"skate-journal-broomfield-then-rhino-null-sunday-june-13-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nullozinejr.com\/zine\/2021\/06\/15\/skate-journal-broomfield-then-rhino-null-sunday-june-13-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"skate journal: broomfield then rhino null sunday (june 13, 2021)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On a hot morning I met up with Rob at Broomfield park.\u00a0 Sean would arrive after a bit, Jack, Bo and Garret later on.\u00a0 Rob and I were both pretty sore from all the skating the day before, but we pulled through and seemed to skate pretty well.\u00a0 We also seemed to skate it in different ways.\u00a0 Unfortunately I don&#8217;t remember many tricks.\u00a0 Rob did a no comply to backside manual on the blue bank which was new for him,\u00a0crooks,\u00a0halfcab\u00a0boards, no comply\u00a0boards, halfcab noseslides, manuals and I think nose manuals,\u00a0back 50 no comply out, lots of Rob goodness.\u00a0 I started getting good feeling crooks on the up ledge and lined it out in different ways.\u00a0 I got one really bad f\/s halfcab\u00a0noseslide and one treflip.\u00a0 I had some heelflips in there too and my pop felt alright and I was able to 50 and ollie onto ledges.\u00a0 Sean showed then\u00a0him and I played a game of SKATE in which he pink slipped me quickly.\u00a0 I got several letters on tricks I had already done.\u00a0 Oh well.\u00a0 Jack, Garrett and Bo showed.\u00a0 Bo had brand new shoes and busted the best treflip.\u00a0 Jack didn&#8217;t skate really because his knee was hurting.\u00a0 Garrett&#8217;s smoothness is incredible.\u00a0 Sean worked his casual ledge magic.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Rd_QSarGj5M?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then we went to Emage\u00a0and then the newish Rhino spot.\u00a0 It was HOT!\u00a0 Mid 90s hot.\u00a0 Luckily there was some cloud cover at times.\u00a0 We found a weird bank to garage door under construction and wedged some metal between the beams and had a really cool bank to flat bar spot.\u00a0 Bo tried a few front smiths on it before grabbing the camera and filming.\u00a0 Jack tried to get his knee working without much success, but still did a sick back feeble front 180 out.\u00a0 Sean lined out the spot with an amazing heelflip and tailslide.\u00a0 Garrett went in on front hurricanes.\u00a0 It&#8217;s funny because we were talking about him doing it in a line once he figured it out.\u00a0 Two hours later .. he landed the single trick.\u00a0 Ha.\u00a0 He battled, it was hot, he&#8217;s a champ.\u00a0 Since Bo was filming I kept skating even though ollies or flippers weren&#8217;t really working.\u00a0 I had a fun line of noseslide to fakie, switch 180 then the worst attempt at a crook ever.\u00a0 There were maybe a couple that weren&#8217;t as bad as the one that was filmed, but they were all bad.\u00a0 I also had a fun ride along a ledge with a bunch of skate stopper holes in it.\u00a0 Bo would later basically do it first try, but that&#8217;s Bo.\u00a0 I was hyped when I finally rode out of it.
