skate journal: trying the same trick over and over again at westy park with dave (march 4, 2016 day 64)
Posted in Skate Journal on March 8th, 2016 by corpoAnother day off work. Dave came over around 1 and we rolled to the little Westminster park. There were a couple other skaters when we got there, but they left after awhile. Warming up was almost impossible for me. Even though I haven’t missed a day of skating I haven’t been in my normal routine. Aka, lots of skating, lots of flip tricks, etc. I really didn’t do much more then get warmed up enough to try front 50 bigspins and then try them for two hours. Ugh. Even broke my board. Dave did a lot though. Good frontside ollies over the quarterpipe hip, all the grinds above, nose manual, much, much more. He was ripping. I had put some old Bones STFs on as I was starting to think the softer 99a Spitfires didn’t have as much pop. I was right. So much for skating softer wheels.
