Super random and awesome day with @ollie.gillingham and @skateboard_chicken

Slept in for once on a Saturday which is 8:15 am these days. Felt nice. My nuts were fine, but somehow I actually hurt my right ankle yesterday. Not bad enough to prevent me from skating, but enough to need additional stretching in the morning. Saul biked over and we piled into my car with Ollie. We went to Triple Nipple which was surprisingly crowded. This made warming up in the cooler weather even harder. Ollie and I played on the little qp up top a lot where we did the double front rocks. Ollie also did rock ‘n roll and halfcab over the hip. He skated around the park and didn’t seem too bothered with the masses. I struggled to get it together, took a long time to get a tiny crook on the ledge. Saul was bummed on the crowd too. It wasn’t like people were jerks or anything, we knew a lot of them, it’s just a small park and hard to skate when it’s crowded. I saw him hit some fun lines though which is exactly what that park is about.

After a 303 / donut stop we randomly chose the Mott’s. When we got there Ric and Christian were there. So sick. As well as a few other rippers. Ollie only took two runs in the bowl. Saul was quick on long grinds like it was nothing. I get thrown off by the tile. My brain thinks as soon as I hit it I’m on the coping. So it took awhile to get a few little grinds, but I had fun. Ric was shredding. Grinds over the hips, smiths. Christian makes transition looks really fun. Ha. He can do all kinds of grinds/slides anywhere. Seeing the Mott’s skate was rad too. Ashley is killing it so soon after having a baby. Those two are good people. Then we needed to bounce.
