skate journal: sunny brief flatground friday (feb 24, 2020)

Felt pretty good at work all day. Skipped the gym so I could leave early and enjoy the sun. Found some dry out in the industrial area that looked good, but it was really rough. I had a new 8″ deck. It felt small out in the streets. I was also incredibly sore once I tried to skate. Nate had given me a list. I went pretty much right into it after some warm up 180s, shoves, kickflips. Here’s the scoop:
Heelflip – Didn’t get it in 10 tries and saw that my phone had blown over, then it took another 10 tries to get another one.
Backside flip – Only got the crappy one. I think it’s appropriate that the still shot for the youtube video highlights the toe drag.
Fakie flip – The only trick I was happy with
Fakie varial flip – I was so mad at not landing this one. Seriously furious.
Halfcab flip – Was only 2/10 and quite angry with this too.
F/s halfcab flip – Got two terrible ones
Nollie varial flip – This is where I had given up. Dave had called me and by the time I was off the call I had lost interest in skating. I posed a few, but my heart was not in it.
