skate journal: soreness at redhawk (sept 30, 2018)

After chilling and hurting most of the day I finally went to Red Hawk to meet Dave. When I pulled in there were some dudes filming. Argh. But it turned out to be Sean filming his friend Nick so that was cool. I was so incredibly sore from jumping down the 5 stair the day before. Dave and I went behind the school while they filmed and looked around a bit, did a few tricks and hit a lot of stop rocks. We went back to the main area. Those guys were skating so fast. Dave and I played on the slappy curb for awhile. It’s fun to just ride onto a grind like that. Sean did a sick quick up to nose manual. Then it was just Dave and I. Dave had some nice 50s both ways, boardslides to fakie, manuals the rock. I worked up to a few okay front 50s and too many accidental 5-0s. Had one front 50 shove that was fun. Dave went for a dream trick. Front 50 back big. It looks kinda close, but he never got both feet on it.
